Books:The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games, a well-known book series for teens and young adults, is one of my favorite book series. It's about a girl name Katniss Everdeen, who is sent to the Hunger Games, reality show where tributes fight to the death. Katniss wants nothing to do with to the other district twelve tribute, Peeta Mellark, but Katniss may find some unlikely friends during the Hunger games.

The Good:

• Katniss, has a good, pure, character and has a great work ethic.
• Katniss loves her family, enough to die for them which is something she could only be taught from God.
• The plot is amazingly thought out, and never slows down.
• The author uses descriptive words to entice you to keep reading.
• There is no bad language (although they do use "sexy" quite alot.)

The Bad:

•  The descriptive language, describes gory scenes, which may frighten some readers.
• One of the characters is constantly drunk.
• One of the books in the trilogy, is about a rebellion, which coming from different points of view could be good or bad.
• In one of the books, Katniss pretends to be pregnant with a boy whom she is not yet married to.

Overall:

Although there are some gory scenes,The Hunger Games is a great book series for all readers who enjoy action and adventure.

Books:Percy Jackson and the Olympians

Percy Jackson and the Olympians was a really good book series. But it has it's downfalls:
The Good:
Rick Riordan is an excellent author and he keeps the books moving and always has a twist to his stories making the interesting. He even adds a bit of romance for you Romantic Peeps (Me)
The Bad:
In the books, it's all about Greek Mythology. The greeks are polytheistic (they believe in many gods), I am a Christian so polytheism is not my thing.
The overview:
Percy Jackson and the Olympians is a great series (even for Christians) as long as you don't get caught up in the religion the characters have.
